Albany TV Station Plans Friday Live Remote From WilliamstownBy Stephen Dravis, iBerkshires Staff

 WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — On Friday morning, television viewers throughout the region will be waking up with Williamstown. Albany, N.Y.'s, Channel 10 will do a live broadcast of its "Wake Up With 10" morning show from the lawn in front of the Williams Inn at the south end of Spring Street from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. The daily program begins an hour before the national "Good Morning America" show on the ABC affiliate and continues until 9 with local cut-ins to GMA.  WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. Over several weekends this April, the Rotary Club of Williamstown donated funds and labor to help the Williamstown Cal Ripken League build an equipment shed next to its newly reconditioned softball field behind the former Broad Brook School. In early 2021, league board members Jim Easton and Chris Johnson approached Jim Mahon, grants chair of the Rotary Club of Williamstown, and requested help. In order to better establish a new softball, program a shed was needed to store equipment on season and off.  HOUSTON – On the first day of the four-day NCAA Division III Championships, the Williams women's golf team got off to a rocky start, shooting a 19 over par 307. The four best scores on each five-member team count in the scoring. Emory University leads the tournament field with a first round score of 292, which is just four shots over par. Williams is in 9th place in the 29-team field. Its players will go off the first tee Wednesday at 12:50 p.m. CST. Ken Kuttner will make a wonderful addition to the Williamstown Planning Board. The goals of preserving land and creating housing for people of all incomes do not need to be mutually exclusive. And yet some of the changes to the zoning bylaws that the Planning Board has put forth as a means of increasing affordable housing could radically alter the landscape of Williamstown and fail to lead to more affordable housing. A good, smart planner like Ken Kuttner, a candidate for Planning Board, understands that a well-planned town protects its natural environment and farmland, while also providing housing for people of all incomes. Dear Williamstown Voters, My name is Carin DeMayo-Wall and I am running for the Williamstown Planning Board. I ask for your vote on May 10.
I grew up right here in Williamstown. I attended Mount Greylock High School ('89) and Williams College ('93). I originally left to work at the State House in Boston and I returned to Williamstown 10 years ago. Williamstown was, and is, a wonderful place to live and raise a family. I have seen how my hometown has changed and I have a vision for its more inclusive future.
I was moved to run for Planning Board when I witnessed several families, whose kids were in my own child's classroom at Williamstown Elementary School,

We are writing in support of Jane Patton for re-election to the Select Board.
Jane led the board through a tumultuous time in the aftermath of the murder of George Floyd (in Minneapolis in 2020) and the revelations of misconduct in the Williamstown Police Department. Under Jane's leadership, the Select Board created the DIRE committee and she served as a member in its inaugural year. Over the past two years, Jane has shown up every day, listened empathically and worked diligently to build back the trust that was lost with many in the community. The only way that you can live in Williamstown and say "let's wait for the new town plan to solve our housing problem" with a straight face is if you're new to town or you have been asleep. We know that Williamstown will not follow housing recommendations in a master plan because we have a near-perfect record of not doing so.
Here's the evidence we do have: Williamstown's 2002 plan outlined seven strategies the town should use to create a target of 200 new housing units that people at or under the area median income could afford. We then spent the next 20 years ignoring all but one of the recommendations, and disparaging those who sought to bring
