WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — A North Adams resident Saturday night was found bleeding and unconscious after a motorcycle accident on North Hoosac Road near the North Adams line, according to a Police Department report. Edward Laurin Lacosse Jr. of West Shaft Road was traveling west at a high rate of speed in a group of three riders when he lost control of his vehicle, according to a report filed by Police Officer Shuan William. Lacosse, who was operating a motorcycle belonging to a friend at the time, started to lay the vehicle down and applied the brakes hard, the report reads. Williamstown Recovery Realty LLC will be before the board seeking a special permit to operate an inpatient behavioral health-care facility at 1561 Cold Spring Road (Route 7), at the site of the former Sweet Brook Care Centers.  BENNINGTON, Vt. — Just as the rain began to fall on Thursday, April 14, Danielle Ploof, a middle school science teacher at Pine Cobble School in Williamstown, Mass., stopped by Southwestern Vermont Medical Center (SVMC) to spread some sunshine in the form of 50 handmade blankets for children using the Emergency Department. "These blankets are so soft and adorable, with child-friendly prints. Alison Case moves to adjourn Williamstown's annual town meeting at its outset on Tuesday evening. WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Attendees at Tuesday's annual town meeting voted overwhelmingly to adjourn the meeting at its outset and continue on Tuesday, June 14, at 7 p.m. at Mount Greylock Regional School. As expected, a motion to adjourn was made immediately after Town Moderator Adam Filson called the meeting to order in the Williamstown Elementary School gymnasium. The motion, which needed a simple majority for passage, was approved by a vote of 149-49. A Superior Court judge in Pittsfield Tuesday denied a request for an injunction that would have postponed Tuesday’s meeting but required that all participants wear masks. The town previously had announced it would provide masks to any attendees needing one.
