WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — The Williamstown Community Preschool began sprucing up its new home by hiring local sign maker Lindsay Neathawk, owner of Neathawk Signs and Design, to create a 3D sign for the business.

Neathawk installed the sign late Monday afternoon that features multicolored hand prints from the children as the leaves of a tree poking out of the top. Underneath the name and address "a place to grow" is written. The children's hand prints were taken at the school and Neathawk then scanned them into her design programs to create the sign.

From the Williamstown Youth Center, a thank you letter:
Bedard Brothers Chevrolet, through the Chevrolet Youth Soccer Program, has helped sponsor the Williamstown Youth Center's Soccer Program for the 2012 season. In addition to soccer equipment, this sponsorship includes a donation of $500 for additional soccer materials.

"We are extremely grateful to Bedard Brothers for its support for our soccer program," said Youth Center Executive Director David Rempell. "The equipment and financial support will help us continue to offer a high quality program for our young soccer players."

The Youth Center recently completed a soccer program in early June and will be starting its fall soccer program in September.

David Rempell sent this letter thanking the community for a great Snowfest.
On Sunday, Feb. 5, the Williamstown Youth Center held its annual Snowfest celebration at the Williams College Towne Field House and Chapman Skating Rink. Snowfest provided a wonderful family celebration for our community and, at the same time, allowed the Youth Center to raise money to support the programs which serve the children of Williamstown and surrounding communities.

This is an historic year for the Youth Center, as we plan to "break ground" on our new facility in the middle of March and move in by November of this year. This will allow us to move from a building that is in extremely poor condition to a facility that will support our programming. Furthermore,

Village Ambulance sent us this information. Keep their campaign in mind if you're cleaning out closets and have coats you no longer need.
Village Ambulance Service is gearing up for our annual Food and Coat drive for 2011. Please consider donating any jacket (clean and in usable condition), as well as any nonperishable food item to our endeavor. Many times our families have to make a choice whether to buy coats for their kids or pay rent. The coats we receive will make that decision an easier one.

We are excited to report that we are joining forces with the Williamstown Council on Aging for our upcoming Coat Drive. We are planning a collection day for Tuesday, Nov. 1, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Harper Center, 118 Church St.; however, we are more than happy to collect throughout the year using our ambulance
