PINE COBBLE PLANT SALE
Williamstown, 8 a.m.-1 p.m.
Pine Cobble School at 163 Gale Road will host its annual plant sale. Gardeners from throughout the region donate hundreds of successful plants from their own gardens -- ensuring hardy plants that can thrive locally. Plants are priced $2 to $8. Plants of all sizes will be available, including hundreds of shade- and sun-loving perennials, both flowers and foliage, as well as herbs and summer planters. There will also be baked goods and coffee, as well as a raffle for a beautiful wooden handmade bench. All proceeds will directly benefit children in the community.

CHILD ID & TOUCH A TRUCK
Pittsfield, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Come on down to a Child ID and Touch A Truck Event being put on at the Pittsfield Church of Christ. Child ID: The Masonic Youth Child Identification Program (myCHIP) will be putting on a Child ID Program free to interested parents, this program includes the following: VIDEOTAPE: A brief video interview that can be quickly distributed to the media in order to reach a huge audience. FINGERPRINTING: Fingerprinting is a well-known means of identification. Resourceful parents keep fingerprints available should the need arise. CHEEK SWAB: A Q-tip is gently rubbed on the inside of a child’s cheek to gather DNA material. Touch A Truck: There will also be local police, fire and EMS vehicles on site for kids to see and interact with. Pittsfield Police, Pittsfield Fire, Berkshire Sheriff, Dalton Police, Lanesborough Police will all be there. BATEMAN MEMORIAL FISHING DERBY
Pittsfield, 6 a.m.-noon
The 26th annual Harry A. Bateman Memorial Jimmy Fund Fishing Derby will take place at Onota Lake. The fishing derby is open to the public and its purpose is to raise money for the Jimmy Fund-Dana Farber Cancer Institute.  All of the proceeds will be donated to the Jimmy Fund to benefit children with cancer in memory of Harry A. Bateman. Harry was a 26-year member of Local 255 a former employee of GE the Berkshire County Jimmy fund Council and Central Berkshire Bowmen. He was well known throughout Berkshire County and who became a victim of cancer in 1992. Trophies and prizes are given to the winners of the fishing derby for the different categories.
