COMMUNITY MAKE DAY
Pittsfield, 12 - 4 p.m.
On November 24th from 12:00 to 4:00 Shire City Sanctuary will host the annual Community Make Day. Folks from all around the county are invited to learn how to create garlands and wreaths out of recycled fabrics, helping to spark creative repurposing during the holiday season. Decorations made will be used to deck Shire City Sanctuary out for the upcoming 11th Annual Holiday Shindy. There is no fee for Community Make Day. All ages are welcome! Attendees are encouraged to bring brightly colored fabrics to create with, these can be anything from used clothing to old dishcloths. The older and “tackier” the better!

COMICAL MYSTERY TOUR
Lenox, 5 p.m.
The Comical Mystery Tour ensemble invites the public to join the fun with their holiday program “You Can’t Toy with Death” when they return to Ventfort Hall for a murder mystery dinner theater performance. The cost to attend is $40 per person including a full course dinner; call 413-637-3206 for reservations.

CLARKSBURG TREE LIGHTING
Clarksburg, 6 p.m.
VFW Post 9144 and the Clarksburg Fire Department will host the annual Christmas tree lighting. All are asked to bring a non perishable food item to be donated to the Friendship Center Food Pantry in North Adams.  Santa will be there courtesy of the fire department.

LANESBOROUGH TREE LIGHTING
Lanesborough, 7 p.m.
The town of Lanesborough will hold its annual tree-lighting ceremony at Memorial Park next to the police station. There will be refreshments and entertainment provided by the LES chorus.

69TH ANNUAL SNOWBALL BAZAAR
Vermont, 5:30 - 8 p.m.
115 Hillside St., Bennington (Second Congregational Church, UCC) --Start the Christmas season at the 69th Annual Snowball Bazaar. Shop the famous fresh, fragrant and beautifully decorated wreaths and centerpieces. Venture through the Serendipity/Treasure Chest tag sale: 6 large rooms filled to the brim with clean gently used  books, tools, jewelry, dishes, toys, small appliances, clothes, and even Christmas items. The Pet-purri section has hand made pet items including dog toys, treats, beds, catnip toys, chasers, scratchers and more for all of the furry folks in your life. There are hand made birdseed wreaths, which make great gifts for wildlife lovers. If you like a challenge, you can buy a chance to win a dinner for two at a local restaurant or visit our silent auction, featuring goods and services donated by members and local businesses.  The bazaar also features a large bake sale of scrumptious home made baked goods and candies. After shopping sit, relax, and enjoy a delicious homemade dessert. All proceeds go to support the charity work Second Congregational Church does in the community.

CRAFT FAIR
Lanesborough, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
The Lanesborough-New Ashford Dollars for Scholars will hold a craft fait at the Lanesborough Elementary School, 188 Summer St., featuring crafts, raffles, baked goods/food and more. Admission is free. Proceeds to benefit the Lanesborough New Ashford Scholarship Fund for graduating seniors.

Zion Lutheran Church will host its Holiday Craft Fair and Cookie Walk at 74 First St. in the recently-renovated and fully-accessible Common Room, and there is plentiful, convenient parking just across the street.

Pownal Valley Fair Committee will host a Christmas Bazaar Fair at The American Legion Post 90 Upstairs Hall on Route 7 in Pownal, Vt. Santa will be arriving at noon and will stay through 2 p.m. for pictures. There will be a bake sale, Chinese auction, raffles and door prizes. The American Legion Auxiliary Unit # 90 will selling refreshments.

A holiday craft fair to support BSA Troop 38 of Adams will be held at the P.N.A. on Victory Street. Scouts will help shoppers transport their wares to their cars. Vendors will not be duplicated.

COCOA AND COOKIES WITH SANTA
North Adams, 9-11 a.m.
North Adams Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center invites children in the area to have cocoa and cookies with Santa at North Adams Commons, 175 Franklin St. The morning will include refreshments, and a photo with Santa plus a small gift. Parents are asked to RSVP to Kira at 413-662-4403 by Dec. 6. The event is free.

NEEDLE FELTING WORKSHOP / SANTA

Join us Thursday December 14th from 6-9 pm for a Santa needle felting workshop led by sisters Melissa & Jen Vansant of Going Gnome!  $55 per person includes the 3 hour class, materials to make your Santa as well as Champagne and light refreshments.
