COMMUNITY MAKE DAY
Pittsfield, 12 - 4 p.m.
On November 24th from 12:00 to 4:00 Shire City Sanctuary will host the annual Community Make Day. Folks from all around the county are invited to learn how to create garlands and wreaths out of recycled fabrics, helping to spark creative repurposing during the holiday season. Decorations made will be used to deck Shire City Sanctuary out for the upcoming 11th Annual Holiday Shindy. There is no fee for Community Make Day. All ages are welcome! Attendees are encouraged to bring brightly colored fabrics to create with, these can be anything from used clothing to old dishcloths. The older and “tackier” the better!

HOGBACK MOUNTAIN SKI TRAIL CLEAN UP
Vermont, 1 - 4 p.m.
Hogback Ski Trail Clean Up Day: Friday, Nov 24, 1-4 pm. Spend the afternoon at the Hogback Mountain Conservation Area in Marlboro, VT, getting the slopes cleaned up for do-it-yourself skiing and riding this winter. Meet at 1:00 in the parking lot on the south side of Route 9 just west of the gift shop, near the white distillery building. Bring your own favorite tool or borrow one from the Hogback stash. We'll call it a day by 4:00. See you on the mountain!

MESSIAH SING

The Berkshire Bach Society’s annual Messiah Sing, always held on Thanksgiving weekend, is the Society’s gift to the community and heralds the beginning of the holiday season. Join Choral conductor Frank Nemhauser, accompanied by the Berkshire Bach Players, a seasoned instrumental ensemble of professional musicians, including Lucy Bardo, one of America’s first and finest viola da gamba players (playing cello) and legendary trumpet player Allan Dean, along with Miriam Shapiro and Cindy Olgunick on violins, Eric Martin on viola, and Anne Voglewede Green on piano, at the First Congregational Church, 251 Main St. Bring your own score, or borrow or buy one at the door. RUN YOUR PIE OFF

The Berkshire Fitness Center, 16 Water St., is sponsoring a 5K run and one-mile fun run to raise money to sponsor two runners to run for Mass General in the Boston Marathon. Registration starts at 8 a.m. and costs $20 per person or family.

COMICAL MYSTERY TOUR

The Comical Mystery Tour ensemble invites the public to join the fun with their holiday program “You Can’t Toy with Death” when they return to Ventfort Hall for a murder mystery dinner theater performance. LONDON'S NATIONAL THEATRE IN HD: FOLLIES
Great Barrington, 2 p.m.
Stephen Sondheim’s legendary musical is staged for the first time at the National Theatre and broadcast live to cinemas. New York, 1971. There’s a party on the stage of the Weismann Theatre. Tomorrow the iconic building will be demolished. Thirty years after their final performance, the Follies girls gather to have a few drinks, sing a few songs and lie about themselves. Tracie Bennett, Janie Dee and Imelda Staunton play the magnificent Follies in this dazzling new production. Featuring a cast of 37 and an orchestra of 21, it’s directed by Dominic Cooke (The Comedy of Errors).

CLARKSBURG TREE LIGHTING
Clarksburg, 6 p.m.
VFW Post 9144 and the Clarksburg Fire Department will host the annual Christmas tree lighting. All are asked to bring a non perishable food item to be donated to the Friendship Center Food Pantry in North Adams.  Santa will be there courtesy of the fire department.

BOB'S WAY HISTORY HIKE

Cross the new bog bridging, observe the beautiful wetland, and learn about the history of this property! Difficulty: Moderate (moderate pace, moderate elevation changes) Description: This 2-mile hike highlights the history of Bob’s Way, ranging from the late 18th century to today. With its second-growth hardwood forest, stonewalls and foundations, wetlands, and old roads, Bob’s Way could be THE representative New England landscape. MET OPERA LIVE IN HD: ADèS' THE EXTERMINATING ANGEL ENCORE

The town of Lanesborough will hold its annual tree-lighting ceremony at Memorial Park next to the police station. There will be refreshments and entertainment provided by the LES chorus.
