WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Frances Joan (Scarbo) Lewis, 78, of Williamstown, peacefully entered the Kingdom of her Lord on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in North Adams, Mass., on November 20, 1938, a daughter of the late James and Helen (King) Scarbo. She graduated from Drury High School in 1957. Fran and her husband, William, owned and managed Benjamin Franklin Store in Oxford, N.Y. She was later employed as a secretary at Williams College for many years.
Fran loved camping throughout the country. She was a member of the square dancing club, Harpin Turners, and was active in the Marriage Encounter Program. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Church.
Fran was an avid reader, devoted fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots, enjoyed knitting, crocheting and the beauty of the Ocean. Fran was a breast cancer survivor.
Fran was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She also served as a foster parent for several children.
Fran leaves her husband of 58 years and high school sweetheart William Charles Lewis, whom she married on May 10, 1958. She is also survived by her loving daughters Sandralee Boucher and her husband Dr. Kevin Boucher of Pomfret, Conn., and their children, Major Select Kathryn Boucher, United States Air Force, Sarah Grubb and her husband Andrew, Adam Boucher and Laura Boucher, Jane Perras and her husband, Michael and their children, Michael Harpin, Jennifer Howard and her husband, Christopher, Karissa Perras, and McKenzie Perras; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Lois Ostrander and her husband Joseph of Lebanon, Penn.; nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews; as well as her cherish pug dog, Bailey.
She was predeceased by her sister Shirley Lincoln.
Funeral notice: A Liturgy of Christian Burial to celebrate the life of Frances Lewis will take place on Monday, March 27, 2017, at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church in North Adams, Mass. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, March 26, 2017, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapel, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery in Williamstown. Flowers may be sent to the funeral home in her memory.

so sorry to hear of your loss, it is never easy to lose a loved one and she will be missed dearly but because of the memories of her she will live on within us with a smile on our faces of the joy she brought
