WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Kevin Lyle Goodman, 43, of Alexandria, Virginia, passed away unexpectedly on November 2, 2017
He was born in Pittsfield, Mass., on January 9, 1974, to Karen Goodman Pedercini and the late Richard I. Goodman. When Kevin graduated from Mt. Greylock Regional High School in 1992, he bravely served his country in the United States Army as the crew chief on a reconnaissance helicopter both domestically and overseas.
Upon completion of his service to the Army, Kevin pursued his passion for knowledge. He received his degree in Computer Science from North Adams State College in 1999. He then continued his education, completing his master’s degree in Education from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in 2003. After his military service and following the completion of his education, Kevin continued to serve his country as a civilian by contributing his technical skills as a government sub-contractor.
Kevin was an avid runner, participating in road races, Spartans, and ToughMudders. One of his favorite hobbies was paint ball. When he wasn’t engaging himself physically, he volunteered his time with veterans helping them to adjust to and succeed in civilian life. He was very dedicated to his dogs, Starbuck and Caprica, spending his off time loving, playing with, and walking them.
Besides his loving mother, he leaves behind his stepfather, Craig A. Pedercini; a brother and sister-in-law, Sean and Autumn Goodman; and stepsister, Nicole Pedercini.
