Margaret R. Koehler, 86

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Margaret R. Koehler, 86, died February 2, 2018, at Williamstown Commons in Williamstown following an extended period of failing health. 



Born April 11, 1931, Margaret was the daughter of Nicholas M. and Cecilia (Pohl) Lenhardt. She was a lifelong resident of Adams and a faithful parishioner of St. John Paul II Parish (and its predecessor parish St. Thomas Aquinas). 



Margaret worked for Fleet Bank, formerly Berkshire Bank & Trust Company, for 24 years and then, after retiring, went back to work for Hoosac Bank for three years. In her retirement she enjoyed being a member of her church choir. 



Margaret outlived her older sister, Bernadette Marcil, and her beloved husband, Arthur Koehler, with whom she celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary on May 30, 2017, before his death a short time later on June 14. 



She leaves three children, James Koehler and his wife Karen (Wing) of Adams, Gary Koehler of Adams, and Cynthia Farrell and her husband James of Lee, New Hampshire; six grandchildren, Michael Koehler, Kimberly Koehler, Nicole Sears, Joseph Koehler, John Farrell and Patrick Farrell; and a great-grandson, Aaron O'Callaghan. 



Funeral notice: The funeral will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2018, at 10 a.m. from the Paciorek Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church, McKinley Square, Adams. Interment will follow at Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. 



Visiting hours for Margaret Koehler are Wednesday, February 7, 2018, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Memorial donations in Margaret's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452 to the St. John Paul II Charity Center, P.O. Box 231, Adams, MA 01220 or to a charity of your own choice. 



Margaret's family would like to express their sincere gratitude and appreciation to the staff at Williamstown Commons for the kindness and professional support they provided to both Margaret and her late husband Arthur.
