ADAMS, Mass. — Helen B. Krok, 82, of Adams died early Wednesday morning, March 28, 2018, at Williamstown Commons.
She was born in Adams on September 23, 1935, a daughter of the late Michael and Apolonia (Szlachta) Krok, and attended Adams schools, including the former Adams High School. Helen last worked for General Electric Co. in Pittsfield and Schenectady, N.Y., until her retirement. Earlier, she had worked for the former Berkshire Fine Spinning Co. in Adams, and the former Wall-Streeter Shoe Co. in North Adams.
She was a big fan of the Boston Celtics, and enjoyed working in her yard and around her house. She loved cats and took care of many during her lifetime.
She is survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, including her great nephew Brian Crandall, who cared for Helen and assisted her during the last few years of her life. She also leaves her beloved cat, Mia.
She was predeceased by her brothers, including Adolf, Edmund, Joseph and Chester Krok; and by her sisters, Stella Towsley and Gladys “Gail” Holland.
