WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The visiting Oneonta State Red Dragons (1-0) defeated the Williams College men's basketball team, 74-68, on Tuesday night to drop the Ephs to 0-2.
Williams' Daniel Wohl led all scorers with 23 points, while Zach Mager emerged as a leader for the Red Dragons in the second half, finishing the game with 22 points. Wohl and Mager also led their teams in rebounds, with 12 and 11 respectively.
Williams hosts Johnson State on Thursday.
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
NORTHAMPTON, Mass. — Three different players finished with 15 points apiece to lead the Williams College women's basketball team to an 86-49 win over Smith on Tuesday night.
Devon Caveney, Ellen Cook and Lauren McCall each had 15 for Williams.
The Ephs, now 3-0 for the fifth straight season, return to Williamstown for a three-game homestand. The first of those contests is Friday at 6 p.m. against Worcester State.
