WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The Williams College men's basketball team defeated Johnson State, 94-59, delivering rookie head coach Kevin App his first career win as a head coach.
Senior captain Hayden Rooke-Ley led the Ephs (1-2) with 36 points, all of which came from 3-point range. With his twelve treys, Rooke-Ley demolished the previous Williams record for 3-pointers (nine) formerly held by Tim Folan ’03.
Robert Hazard and Vernon Slater each registered seven points for Johnson State (0-3).
Williams will travel to Middletown, Conn., to face Little Three rival Wesleyan on Saturday.
