LEXINGTON, Va. - The Williams College women's tennis team on Saturday earned a 6-3 win over top-ranked Emory University (10-2).
The Ephs maintain an undefeated record this season and continue to play strong on the road, setting their sights next to Carnegie Mellon on Sunday.
In doubles play, it was senior Maria Pylypiv and freshman Julia Cancio who set the tone for the Ephs (7-0), defeating their opponent 8-4. Williams' pairing of Shin/Raventos then followed with another decisive victory at 8-1. Emory ultimately took the third match, led by Emory's Harding/Su who were able to overcome senior Rebecca Curran and junior Maya Hart (W) at a margin of 8-4 - finishing doubles with an Ephs lead at 2-1.
