Williams Men's Lacrosse Falls at Tufts

MEDFORD, Mass. -- In a showdown between the last two undefeated men's lacrosse teams in the NESCAC, Tufts (9-0, NESCAC 5-0) took control of the game early and gave the Ephs their first loss of the season, 20-6, on Tuesday.
 
Austin Carbone scored the first goal of the game for Tufts, coming from behind the goal just after a Williams (7-1, NESCAC 4-1) penalty was released midway through the first quarter.
 
It was 4-1 after one quarter and 11-3 at half-time before the Jumbos put the game away with a 5-0 third quarter.
 
Williams hosts Amherst on Saturday at 1 p.m.
 
MEN'S TENNIS
CLAREMONT, Calif. -- The 14th-ranked Williams College men's tennis team swept the doubles competition on the way to a 7-2 win over No. 16 Gustavus Adolphus on Tuesday.
 
Williamstown's Rohan Shastri earned a 6-4, 6-2 win at No. 3 singles and teamed with Conrad Harron for an 8-5 win at No. 2 doubles for Williams (5-3).
 
Williams plays top-ranked Clarmont-Mudd-Scripps on Wednesday evening.
