Williams Baseball, Men's Lacrosse Snap Losing Streaks

TROY, N.Y. – After nine straight losses, including sweeps by Little Three rivals Amherst and Wesleyan, the Williams College baseball team (7-12) pulled out a come-from-behind victory against the RPI Engineers (14-9).
 
Jacob Slater notched the win for the Ephs (2-0). Jack Roberts and Phil McGovern both had excellent days at the plate, going 4-for-5 and combining for four runs scored and two RBIs.
 
The Ephs will look to continue their success on the diamond at Gordon on Thursday.
 
MEN'S LACROSSE
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Williams men’s lacrosse won 17-11 against Vassar on Wednesday to advance to 8-4 on the season and end a four-game losing streak.
 
Andy Grabowski, who had five goals and one assist, led Williams. Williams goalie Dan Whittam had eight saves.
 
Williams travels to Colby on Saturday.
