Lanesborough 11U Bulldogs Earn Split in Connecticut Trip

GLASTONBURY, Conn. -- Roberto Barron had two hits and rove in two runs to help the Lanesborough Bulldogs 11-and-under Cal Ripken Baseball team defeat Glastonbury on Saturday afternoon in the first game of a double-header.
 
Glastonbury came back to down the 'Dogs, 7-4, in the nightcap.
 
In Game 1, Oscar Low had two hits with an RBI, and Josh Polumbo drove in a pair for the Bulldogs (2-2).
 
Jack Cangelosi and Landen Jamula split time on the mound, pitching three innings apiece. Cangelosi struck out four, and Jamula picked up three Ks.
 
In Game 2, Caleb Greene drove in two runs. Barron struck out five in three innings on the hill; Derek Paris struck out two in two innings.
 
Lanesborough hosts Pittsfield South on Wednesday at 5:30 at Laston Field.
