Williams Men's Hockey Comes Back to Top Trinity

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- The Williams College men's hockey team scored three goals in the final nine minutes to earn a 3-2 win over Trinity on Saturday evening.
 
Zander Masucci assisted on the tying goal and scored the game-winner on the power play with 5 minutes, 47 seconds left as the Ephs improved to 7-3-1 (5-1-1 NESCAC).
 
Michael Pinios stopped 31 shots as the Bantams (7-3-1, 3-2) outshot the Ephs 33-24.
 
Williams hosts Wesleyan on Sunday afternoon.
 
WOMEN'S HOCKEY
 
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Bowdoin scored with 2 minutes, 39 seconds left to snap a 2-2 tie and earn a 3-2 win over Williams on Saturday.
 
Abby Brustad and Chelsey Stevenson scored for Williams (6-4, 4-2 NESCAC).
 
Willliams hosts Salve Regina on Tuesday.
 
WRESTLING
 
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Williams College wrestling team (5-1) started Day 2 of the Budd Whitehill Duals undefeated, but that streak ended in their first match on Saturday.
 
Beginning the day against No. 14 TCNJ, Williams ranked 18th knew they were in for a tough battle. Unfortunately Williams ultimately lost to TCNJ 24-17, but were not disheartened.
 
Despite the tough loss to TCNJ the Ephs recovered, and fought back to beat No. 22 York College (Pa.) in the third place match, 23-22. Williams ended the weekend finishing third in the 16-team field.
