WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — The Greylock fifth- and sixth-grade travel basketball team wrapped up its season on Saturday with a two-point loss that eliminated the squad from the Berkshire County championship tournament.

Boys Club Blue defeated Greylock, 42-40, despite 20 points from Derek Paris and eight from Thomas Martin.

“It was a back-and-forth game which didn’t disappoint the fans,” Greylock coach Rick Paris said. “It was exciting and came down to the last possession. We just ran out of seconds.

“We had a great season. I am very proud of what these young boys have accomplished. The future is bright for Greylock basketball.”

Earlier in the tournament, Greylock beat Lee, 35-24, as Martin scored 11 and Will Broadwell added six.
