PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Four different pitchers combined on a six-hitter as the Lanesborough Bulldogs Cal Ripken Baseball team defeated the Pittsfield Nationals Little Leaguers, 16-0, on Sunday.

Jack Cangelosi, Panayiotis Constantopoulos, Derek Paris and Josh Polumbo split time on the mound, striking out 11 while walking just one.

At the plate, Constantopoulos had three hits, including a home run, and four RBIs. Paris had three hits, including a double, and Oscar Low had a single, a double and two RBIs.

"Our team really came out swinging the bats scoring six in the first with another four in the second," Bulldogs coach Rick Paris said.

"We lost to this team one week ago but after getting some good practices in, especially at the 46-foot pitching distance, it has really helped our timing. I think our kids are really preparing themselves for a good tournament run."

For Pittsfield, Anthony Telladera had a single and a double.

Laneborough faces the Pittsfield Americans on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at Deming Field before defending its Western Mass State Tournament title starting Friday at Laston Field.

"We will have a great test on Tuesday playing against the Pittsfield Americans," Paris said. "They always have one of the best teams in the county.

"If we play well against them and can put up some runs, then I will have all the confidence in the world our kids will have a great chance to be very successful this year."
