Ross Leads Greylock to Youth Basketball Win04:59PM / Thursday, January 05, 2017 | |
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Patrick Ross scored 12 points Wednesday to lead the Greylock seventh- and eighth-grade travel boys basketball team to a 46-13 win over Berlin, N.Y.
Greylock started its second string, and the reserves made the most of the opportunity, coach Rick Paris said.
"It was a great experience for them to get a majority of the playing time and to be able to work on our offensive sets and plays," he said. "We were able to run our plays effectively, and the kids were getting to the rim.
"We had 11 of our 12 players score, which was great to see. Being able to put up 46 points in regulation playing with seven-minute quarters and without trying to fast break is pretty good."
Oscar Low and Tate Kuster scored eight points apiece, and Colin Doyle added six for Greylock, which plays the CYC at Nessacus Middle School on Thursday in Dalton's Jim Horth Tournament.
