Cages Travel Baseball Team Opens Season in Hinsdale

HINSDALE, Mass. -- The Cages 14-and-under travel baseball team got off to a rough start to its spring season over the weekend with four losses at the Duquette Sports Academy.
 
The closest game was the Cages' opener, an 11-8 loss to the Vikings Northmen, who used a six-run sixth inning to jump out to a 9-5 lead. and never looked back.
 
Oscar Low went 2-for-3 with an RBI, and Landen Jamula was 2-for-4 with an RBI in the loss.
 
Paul Roeder went four innings on the mound, allowing just two runs, both unearned.
 
The Cages team is scheduled to play a double-header against the Pittsfield Thunder 14U squad on Sunday at Deming Park.
