PHS Alumna Albert Scores in Williams Women's Soccer Win

WATERVILLE, Maine -- Pittsfield High graduate and Williams College freshman Ilana Albert scored her first collegiate goal on Saturday in a 3-0 win over Colby.
 
Allison Lu and Natasha Albaneze also scored, and Whitney Lincoln and Olivia Barnhill combined on the shutout in goal for Williams (4-0, 3-0 NESCAC), which goes to Bowdoin on Sunday.
 
MEN’S SOCCER
WATERVILLE, Maine -- Mark Sisco-Tolomeo scored in the 23rd minute to give the Williams men’s soccer team a 1-0 win over Colby.
 
The Ephs (3-0, 2-0 NESCAC) go to Bowdoin on Sunday.
 
FOOTBALL
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Bobby Maimaron threw for 283 yards, and Connor Harris ran for 103 to lead the Williams College football team to a 28-14 win over Bowdoin in its season opener on Saturday.
 
The Ephs go to Colby next Saturday.
 
WOMEN’S CROSS COUNTRY
MONTREAL, Quebec -- The Williams women's cross country opened its season today with a second-place finish at the McGill Open in Montreal.
 
The McGill Martlets took first with 44 points, while the Sherbrook Vert & Or took third with 105 points.  On a hot and sunny day, the Ephs worked together well on the 4-kilometer course in Mount Royal Park.
 
The Ephs were led by co-captains Anna Harleen and Victoria Kingham, who came in fifth and sixth with times of 15 minutes, 20 seconds and 15:22, respectively.  
 
MEN’S CROSS COUNTRY
MONTREAL, Quebec -- Placing three runners in the top 10, the Williams men’s cross country team finished with 36 points to win the McGill Invitational on Saturday.
 
Université Laval and McGill who scored 61 and 87 points, respectively to finish second and third.
 
Leading the charge for Williams were captain Liam Simpson (19 minutes, 56 seconds) and  Aidan Ryan (20:02), who were fourth and sixth, respectively.
 
VOLLEYBALL
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- The Williams College volleyball team defeated the Connecticut College Camels in three sets (25-22, 26-24, 25-18) on Saturday afternoon in Chandler Gymnasium.
 
After Friday night’s loss against the Wesleyan Cardinals, the Ephs (2-4, 1-0 NESCAC) was looking forward to getting back on the court. Wesleyan beat Williams in four sets (24-26, 16-28, 16-25).
 
Erin Denham led the Ephs with 14 kills.
 
Williams goes to MCLA on Wednesday.
 
FIELD HOCKEY
WATERVILLE, Maine -- Libby Dolan scored twice Saturday to lead the Williams College field hockey team to a 4-1 win over Colby.
 
Emma Santucci made five saves to earn the win in goal for Williams (3-0, 2-0 NESCAC), who goes to Bowdoin on Sunday.
