NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Chris S. Dodig has become a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, one of the premier legal associations in North America.

The induction ceremony at which Dodig became a Fellow took place recently before an audience of 900 persons during the 2017 Annual Meeting of the College in Montréal, Québec.

Dodig is a longtime partner in the firm of Donovan O'Connor & Dodig, LLP, with offices in North Adams and Pittsfield, Mass., and Bennington, Vt. He has been practicing with the same firm for 27 years, after graduating from Albany Law School in 1990.  His primary area of practice is serious personal injury litigation, with a focus on medical malpractice and product liability cases.  Dodig handles cases throughout Massachusetts and Vermont and selected cases in upstate New York.

Founded in 1950, the college is composed of the best of the trial bar from the United States and Canada. Fellowship in the college is extended by invitation only and only after careful investigation, to those experienced trial lawyers of diverse backgrounds, who have mastered the art of advocacy and whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility and collegiality.  Lawyers must have a minimum of 15 years trial experience before they can be considered for Fellowship.

Membership in the College cannot exceed 1 percent of the total lawyer population of any state or province. Dodig is only the seventh member elected to the college from Berkshire County.

Dodig lives in Lanesborough, Mass., with his wife Michelle and daughters, Erin and Grace.  He is active throughout the Berkshire County community. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Family Life Support Center, The Brien Center for Mental Health and Substance Abuse, the North County Development Corporation, the Northern Berkshire United Way and has been elected to the Mt. Greylock Regional School Committee.  Dodig has also served as president of the Berkshire County Bar Association and is a member of the Board of Governors for the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys.
