Williams College's Football Team Wins, Goes to 3-1

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Bobby Maimaron threw for 282 yards and three touchdowns Saturday to lead the Williams football team to a 47-14 win over Bates.
 
Frank Stola ran for 172 yards and a pair of touchdowns for the Ephs (3-1).
 
Williams travels to Middlebury on Saturday.
 
Men's Soccer
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Demian Gass scored two goals Saturday to lead the Williams men's soccer team to a 3-0 win over Curry College.
 
Bobby Schneiderman needed to make one save to earn the shutout for the Ephs (5-1-3), who go to Coast Guard on Tuesday.
 
Women's Soccer
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Natalie Turner-Wyatt scored two goals to lead the Williams women's soccer team to a 2-0 win over Farmingdale State.
 
Olivia Barnhill made two saves for the Ephs (9-0-1), who host MIT on Sunday at 12:30 p.m.
 
Volleyball
LEWISTON, Maine -- Erin Denham had 20 kills, and Ally Ostrow added 19 to lead the Williams volleyball team to a 19-25, 17-25, 25-18, 25-22, 15-10 come from behind win over Bates.
 
The Ephs (7-9) host Trinity on Friday night.
 
Men's Cross Country
WESTFIELD, Mass. -- Monument Mountain's Weyessa "Ace" McAlister finished second at Saturday's 23rd Annual James Early Invitational to lead the Trinity College men to a narrow first-place finish over Williams at Stanley Park.
 
Sam Brunnette of New Hampshire's Plymouth State won the 8-kilometer race in 25 minutes, 35 seconds.
 
McAlister finished in 25:42 and helped the Bantams collect 74 points, just ahead of Williams' 77.
 
The Ephs were paced by Tristan Colaizzi, who placed fourth in 26:02.
