|Williams Women's Golf Wins Third Straight League Title|

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The Williams College Ephs took a one-shot lead over Amherst into the second and final round of the 2017 NESCAC Women’s Golf Championship.
With a second round of 306 to mirror their first-day score Williams (612) fashioned a two-day total of 612 and won its third consecutive NESCAC title by 12 shots over runner-up Amherst (324). The Amherst Mammoths carded a second day round of 317.
The Middlebury Panthers took third place with a team total of 628, shooting 315 today. A final round of 329 placed the Hamilton Continentals fourth with a score of 679. Finishing fifth were the Polar Bears of Bowdoin College who shot 700 over the two days. The Bates Bobcats finished in sixth place with a two-day tally of 815.
Liz Gudas of Williams took home medalist honors with a final round of one over par, 72 and a two-day total of 147 (75/72). The Ephs’ Cordelia Chan was second at 149 (74-75). Jessica Jeong (73-79) of Amherst was third at 152. Fourth place went to Amherst’s Morgan Yurosek who carded a 154 (78-76). One shot back in fifth place was Middlebury’s Blake Yaccino who shot 155 (80-75).
Day two of the 2017 NESCAC Women’s Golf Championship started in a steady rain that softened the Taconic layout and slowed the greens. The temperature was in the low 70s. The rain persisted for the first six or so holes and then it stopped. A few breaks of sunshine arrived throughout the middle of the second round and the final round was played mostly under cloudy skies.
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Victoria Laino scored in the 59th minute to lead the Williams women's soccer team to a 1-0 win over MIT on Sunday.
Olivia Barnhill backstopped the Ephs (10-0-1) who outshot their visitors by a margin of 6-0.
Williams goes to Wesleyan on Saturday.
