Williams Men's Basketball Falls to Wesleyan in OT

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- After holding the Williams College men's basketball team scoreless for the final four minutes of regulation on Saturday, the Wesleyan Cardinals earned a 72-67 overtime win.
 
Williams' Mike Greenman hit a pair of free throws with 4:14 on the clock to give the Ephs a 57-53 lead. But the Cardinals scored the next four, tying the game, 57-57, with 2:26 remaining.
 
That is where it stayed until OT, when Jordan Bonner scored six of his game-high 22 to lead Wesleyan (6-0) to victory.
 
Bobby Casey led Williams (5-1) with 17 points. Kyle Scadlock and James Haskett added 15 and 14, respectively.
 
Williams goes to Westfield State on Tuesday.
 
Women's Basketball
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Alexandra Leslie scored 17 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Rochester (6-1) to a 70-61 win over Williams on Saturday in the Williams Inivtational.
 
Amanni Fernandez scored 15 points, and Mikaela Topper added 13 for the Ephs (5-2), who host Eastern Connecticut on Tuesday.
 
Women's Squash
PRINCETON, N.J. -- Princeton defeated the Williams women, 9-0, on Saturday.
 
Williamstown's Melissa Swann battled her her opponent to an 11-8, 11-1, 11-7 decision at No. 9. The closest match of the day was at No. 7, where Williams' Abigail LeBlanc fell, 11-9, 11-8, 11-8.
 
Wrestling
YORK, Pa. -- The Williams wrestling team finished 12th out of 17 teams at Saturday's York Invitational.
 
Junior Brendon Seyfried led the day again after defeating opponents from Elizabethtown and
Ferrum on his way to a third-place finish.
 
Williams hosts Trinity for a dual match on Friday night.
 
Men's Swimming
BOSTON -- Division I Boston College defeated Williams, 188.5-91.5 on Saturday.
 
The middle and distance proved to be strongest for the Ephs across the board. In the 200 freestyle, freshman Jamie Lovette finished first in 1 minute, 43.0 seconds, his fastest of the season. Behind him, freshman David Pearcy and senior Michael Cassidy also put up fast swims, with respective times of 1:46.76 and 1:48.72.
 
Lovette also edged out Boston College in a nail biter, winning the 500 freestyle in 4:43.95. Following shortly behind Lovette was sophomore Andrew Trunsky, who took third in the event with a time of 4:47.86.
 
Trunsky claimed a victory of his own in the meet, swimming a 9:43.0 to lead a 1-2 Williams finish in the 1,000 freestyle.
 
Women's Swimming
BOSTON -- Boston College defeated the Williams women, 176-124, on Saturday.
 
Williams' Laura Westphal won three events and swam a leg on a victorious relay.
 
Westphal won the 200 freestyle (1:52.86), 100 freestyle (:52.86) and 500 free (5:07.64) and swam a leg on Williams' winning 400 free relay quartet (3:33.22).
 
Caroline White took first in two events for the Ephs, the 100 backstroke (1:06.06) and the 200 breaststroke (2:22.0).
