WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Meghan Halloran scored a goal and set up another Friday to lead the Williams College women's hockey team to a 2-1 win over Trinity.
After a scoreless first two periods, Halloran scored midway through the third on assists from Abby Brustad and Annie Rush.
With 23 seconds left, Halloran and Rush set up Brustad for an empty net goal before the Bantams put one in the net with 15 seconds left to play.
Christina Cleroux made 13 saves for Williams (10-6-5, 4-5-4 NESCAC), which hosts Trinity again on Saturday afternoon.
Men's Hockey
HARTFORD, Conn. -- Trinity defeated Williams, 4-3, on Friday night.
Roberto Cellini had a couple of assists, and Michael Pinios made 28 saves for the Ephs (10-9), who play at Wesleyan on Saturday.
Women's Basketball
WATERVILLE, Maine -- Colby outscored Williams, 10-3, in overtime to earn a 58-51 win.
Haley Driscoll led Colby with 19 points. Williams got 14 from Amanni Fernandez and 13 from Kristin Fechtelkotter.
Williams (11-10, 3-4) goes to Bowdoin on Saturday.
Men's Basketball
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Bobby Casey scored 22 points to lead Williams to a 77-49 win over Colby.
James Heskett added 18, and Cole Teal had 13 for the Ephs (17-4, 5-2), who host Bowdoin on Saturday afternoon.
