WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Colby Cretella scored an empty-net goal with 10 seconds left in overtime to give the Williams College men's hockey team a 2-1 win over Middlebury on Friday night at Lansing Chapman Rink.

 

C.J. Shguart scored late in the second period to erase a Middlebury lead.

 

Stephen Morrissey made 20 saves for Williams (11-10, 7-8 NESCAC), which is off until next Friday when it hosts Amherst.

 

Women's Basketball

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Hannah Hackley scored 14 pointsto lead the Amherst women to a 55-44 win over Williams.

 

Kristen Fechtelkotter scored 10, and Amanni Fernandez added nine for the Ephs (11-12, 3-6), who finish the regular season on Saturday against Hamilton.

 

Men's Basketball

AMHERST, Mass. -- Michael Riopel scored 19 points to lead Amherst to a 72-57 win over Williams.

 

Bobby Casey scored 22, and James Heskett added 15 for the Ephs (18-5, 6-3 NESCAC), who finish the regular season on Saturday at Hamilton.
