Williams Men's Basketball Reaches Conference Final

AMHERST, Mass. -- James Heskett scored 19 points Saturday night to lead the Williams College men's basketball team to a 76-63 win over Hamilton in the NESCAC semi-finals.
 
Mike Greenman scored 14, and Cole Teal added 12 for the Ephs (21-5), who face Wesleyan on Sunday afternoon for the conference title.
 
Women's Hockey
AMHERST, Mass. -- Amherst scored two empty net goals in the final minute of a 5-2 win over Williams in the NESCAC tournament.
 
Annie Rush and Gabby Montembeault scored for Williams (10-8-7), which got 14 saves from Christina Cleroux.
 
Skiing
MIDDLEBURY, Vt.--- The Williams Alpine ski team capped off its season Saturday at the Middlebury Ski Bowl with the Giant Slalom race for Day 2 of the NCAA Regional Championships.
 
Senior Marc Talbott capped off a great carnival season, finishing 12th for the day. Sophomore Paul Sheils cracked the top 20, finishing in 20th place. Rounding out the men's team were Bryan Bailey, Cole Janco, and Will Kannegieser, who placed 36th, 38th and 42nd, respectively. Brian McLaughlin of Dartmouth won the race.
 
On the women's side, Anna Bruce was the top finisher in 32nd place. Gibson Donnan was close behind in 33rd, Madeline Dekko was 39th, senior Makena Jones was 43rd and Clara Hathorne was 45th. Caroline Bartlett of Middlebury won the day.
 
The team capped off a solid carnival season and contributed with the Nordic team to a 5th place finish for the weekend.
