WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Adam Kronenberg scored 10 of his team-high 12 points in the fourth quarter to lead the Housatonic seventh- and eighth-grade boys basketball team to a 48-34 win over Greylock Sunday in the North Division title game of the Berkshire County Tournament.

James Carr scored 10 for Housy, which led by 10 at the end of the third quarter and held off a comeback bid by Greylock, which battled its way to the title game out of the losers' bracket in the double-elmination tourney.

Greylock used a 13-2 run that spanned the third and fourth quarters to make it a two-possession game after trailing throughout.

Chase Doyle got things started when he drove the lane for a bucket, and Max McAlister closed the quarter with a 3-pointer on an assist from Tate Kuster to get Greylock within 10, 31-21.

Alex Axt started the fourth with a 3-pointer on the left wing off a feed from Derek Paris (16 points) in the post.

After Kronenburg scored in the low post to get the lead back to nine, Greylock got a Paris 3-pointer, and, after Axt grabbed a rebound at the other end, McAlister was fouled shooting a 3.

He got off the floor and made two of his foul shots to make it 33-29 with 5:53 left.

But Housy answered with a 7-0 run of its own.

First Kronenberg put back and  offensive rebound and was fouled in the act. He completed the conventional three-point play to make it a seven-point game.

Then Eddie Boyko (six points) put back a rebound. Finally, Boyko scored again on a feed from Carr to make it 40-29 with 2:30 on the clock.

Less than a minute later, Parish converted three foul shots after being fouled on a triple to get Greylock back within eight at 42-34.

Housatonic scored the game's last six points, including 4-for-7 shooting at the line, to defend its title in the tournament.

"It was a tough game," Greylock coach Rick Paris said. "We struggled a bit inside getting rebounds without our big Thomas Martin, who was injured in our semi-final game.

"But I'm just proud of how hard our kids played all weekend."

SOUTH DIVISION
Timothy Besaw-Terry scored 16 points to lead Lee to a 54-33 win over Lenox in the seventh- and eighth-grade South Division title game.

Besaw-Terry hit a pair of 3-pointers in the first quarter as Lee held Lenox scoreless for eight minutes to build a 13-0 lead.

Colby Carlson, Alejandro Smith and Hayden Siok each scored six points in the win.

Lenox got eight points from Michael Ward and seven from Emmitt Shove. Brendan Armstrong scored six in the loss.
