Women's Cross Country Wins Little Three Title

AMHERST, Mass. -- The Williams College women's cross country team Saturday earned its 11th straight Little Three Championship, beating Amherst and Wesleyan with 33 points.
 
Juniors Emma Herrmann and Audrey Rustad and senior captain Emily Harris finished second, third and fourth, respectively, to help the Ephs edge runner-up Wesleyan by three points.
 
Men's Cross Country
AMHERST, Mass. -- Host Amherst won the Little Three Championship on Saturday, earning 27 points to runner-up Williams' 32.
 
Williams' Aidan Ryan won the individual title in a time of 19 minutes, 28 seconds. Williams hosts the Purple Valley Classic at Mount Greylock Regional School on Sept. 22.
 
Men's Soccer
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Chris Fleiscer and Bobby Fabricant each scored a pair of goals to lead Williams to a 5-0 win over Trinity.
 
Aaron Schein made three saves for the Ephs (1-0), who host Colby next Saturday.
 
Women's Soccer
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Sydney Jones scored twice to lead Williams to a 3-1 win over Trinity.
 
Sarah Hollinger added a goal, and Olivia Barnhill made two saves to earn the win in net.
 
Williams (2-0) hosts Skidmore on Sunday at noon.
 
Field Hockey
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Libby Dolan scored in the 43rd minute to lift Williams to a 1-0 win over Trinity.
 
Abby Lloyd and Emma Santucci split time in the goal, combining for two saves.
 
Williams (2-0) hosts Colby on Saturday.
 
Volleyball
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- Williams defeated St. Michael's and Skidmore on Saturday at the Union College Invitational to improve to 4-0 this fall.
 
Erin Denham led the way against St. Michael's with 10 kills. Roxi Corbeil had 22 kills against Skidmore.
 
Alex Newton, who had 53 assists in the Skidmore win, was named to the all-tournament team.
 
Williams opens its home schedule Wednesday against Vassar at 6 p.m.
