Maimaron Leads Williams Football Past Trinity

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Bobby Maimaron threw for 154 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 95 yards Saturday to lead the Williams College football team toa  21-16 win over Trinity.
 
The Ephs took control in the third quarter, scoring 14 points to erase a 9-7 half-time deficit.
 
Maimaron completed two scoring strikes to Frank Stola in the quarter, one for 16 yards and another for 49.
 
The Bantams (2-1) made it close with 63-yard TD pass with 1 minutes, 31 seconds left in the fourth quarter.
 
Williams (3-0) is at Bates next Saturday.
 
Field Hockey
NEW LONDON, Conn. -- Libby Dolin scored in the 22nd minute to lift Williams to a 1-0 win at Conn College.
 
Abby Lloyd and Emma Santucci combined to stop four shots in Williams' goal.
 
The Ephs (6-1, 4-1 NESCAC) are at Skidmore on Tuesday.
 
Women's Soccer
NEW LONDON, Conn. -- Rain Condie scored off a Sarah Scire throw-in in the final minute of the first half, and Williams held on for a 1-0 win over Conn College.
 
Olivia Barnhill made seven saves to earn the shutout win.
 
Williams (7-0-1, 5-0-1) is at Castleton, Vt., on Sunday.
 
Men's Soccer
NEW LONDON, Conn. -- Conn College scored in the 34th minute and held on for a 1-0 win over Williams.
 
Aaron Schein made three saves for the Ephs (4-2-1, 2-2-1), who go to Skidmore on Tuesday.
 
Women's Volleyball
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Tufts earned a 26-24, 19-25, 25-13, 25-15 win over Williams on Saturday.
 
Olivia Hindyled the Ephs with eight kills, and Alex Newton had 26 assists.
 
Williams (7-7, 2-3) hosts SUNY New Paltz on Tuesday.
 
Men's Cross Country
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. -- The sixth-ranked Ephs placed second behind No. 3 RPI on Saturday at the Saratoga Invitational at Saratoga Spa State Park.
 
Williams' Aidan Ryan and Ryan Cox placed third and fourth, respectively, with times of 25 minutes, 14.5 seconds and 25:17.6 on the 8,000-meter course.
 
Women's Cross Country
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. -- Williams finished second behind St. Lawrence at the 16-team Saratoga Invitational at Saratoga Spa State Park.
 
Ephs Emma Herrmann (17:55.5) and Emily Harris (18:01.5) placed fourth and fifth, respectively, in the 5K.
