WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Williams College’s Sam Rohrer went seven innings on the mound to earn a 2-1 win over Middlebury on Friday.

 

Rohrer struck out three and scattered four hits before giving the ball to Philip Barnett, who struck out two in a scoreless eighth. Kyle Dean picked up his third save of the season with a perfect ninth inning.

 

Doug Schaffer led Williams’ offense with a 3-for-3 day at the plate that included a double and an RBI.

 

Williams (15-4, 2-2 NESCAC) hosts Middlebury for a double-header on Saturday.
