The Ephs collected 111 points to edge runner-up MIT, which had 101.5 points, and take first in the 34-team field.

Williams' men finished eighth with 37 points in a field led by MIT with 139.5.

For the women, Summer-Solstice Thomas and Izabelle Ith finished 1-2 in the heptathlon with 4,702 and 4,591 points.

Williams senior Zeke Cohen won the men's 5,000 meters with a time of 14:54.18.

Baseball

Hatheway went 3-for-4, and Eric Pappas and Alex Panstares each had a pair of hits in the win.

Kyle Dean earned the win with two innings of scoreless relief. He struck out two and allowed one hit.

Wesleyan won Saturday's first game, 2-0.

Rowing
WORCESTER, Mass. -- All four Williams men's crew boats brought home medals to propel the team to its first team championship since 2001.

Conditions were calm on Lake Quinsigamond for the annual New England Rowing Championships, the first of Williams' two spring championships.

The 4V set the tone for the rest of the team by leading off the day with a silver medal. In the afternoon's final Williams, Boston College, and UMass all got off the line well, dropping the rest of the field. Boston College quickly separated from the field while Williams pushed ahead of UMass. Coming through the midpoint of the race the crews were all separated by open water and continued to spread out through the second half of the race. Boston College won in 6:31 and Williams took silver in 6:44.

Next up the 3V matched the 4V's performance with a silver medal of their own. In the morning's time trial the crew finished in second place, 2 seconds off Boston College in the lead. In the final, the crew had an uncharacteristically slow start off the line and went down on the entire field in the first 250 meters. Williams improved marginally throughout the first half of the race and clawed their way back into the pack. At the 1000 meter mark Williams launched into their middle move and pushed their way into third ahead of Bates and WPI. From there Williams found their rhythm and walked from half a length down to a length up on UMass coming into the final sprint. The Ephs put together a strong and connected sprint and took back seats on Boston College, but were unable to pull ahead for the win. Boston College won in 6:22 followed by Williams in 6:25.

The 2V added to the medal haul with a bronze in their race. The 2V won their morning heat against Wesleyan to secure a favorable lane in the afternoon's final. Off the start Williams fell a bit off the lead and came through the thousand in fourth place behind rival Wesleyan. In the third quarter the Ephs dug deep and walked through the Cardinals. For the final 500 Williams kept their pedal to the floor and continued to beat Wesleyan back, but were unable to reel in Boston College in second. Bates won in a time of 6:18 followed by Boston College in 6:21 and Williams in 6:23.

To seal the team's championship, the 1V capped off the day's racing with their own bronze medal. Like the other Williams boats, the 1V started down on the field off the start. They settled into a strong base and refused to be rattled by their early deficit. Williams quickly moved past UMass and walked through Trinity with their middle move. With 500 to go Williams locked in on Tufts and brought the rate up to 37. With their best sprint of the year, Williams went from half a length down to half a length up on Tufts to bring home the bronze. Wesleyan won in 6:08 followed half a seocond later by Bates and Williams in 6:11.

Williams will close out its season back in Worcester next Sunday at NIRCs.
