West Boys Lacrosse Team Stays Perfect at Bay State Games

WALTHAM, Mass. -- The West team in the Bay State Games boys lacrosse tournament won twice on Wednesday to improve to 3-0.
 
It opened the day with a dominating win over the Northeast team. In the afternoon, the West came from behind to edge the Southeast/Coastal team, 7-6.
 
In the morning game, Hoosac Valley’s Nate Haley, a student at Drury High, scored four goals.
 
Wahconah’s Corey Bazonski had an assist in the win.
 
In the day’s second game, Chicopee Comp’s Griffin Larochelle scored in the final minute to break a 6-6 tie and keep the West undefeated.
 
Haley and Wahconah’s Ernie Lampron each scored a goal, and Mount Greylock’s Mac Waynick had an assist.
 
Hoosac Valley’s Logan Leja and Luke Waterman, and Mount Greylock’s Cole Filson also contributed to the team’s wins.
 
The West plays Central on Thursday morning before moving on to the medal round in the afternoon.
