BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Williams College women's ice hockey team (5-4) scored two early goals in the first period and a late goal in the third period to edge the Valiants of Manhattanville College (6-4-1), 3-2, Thursday afternoon in a game played on the campus of Bowdoin College.
The Ephs' Amanda Resiman netted two goals on the day and tallied the game-winner with just 1:26 remaining in the final period.
Williams broke on top with two early goals in the first period as first Meghan Halloran scored unassisted (2:37). Halloran carried along left boards deep into the Manhattanville zone. The junior wristed a low angle shot inside the near post for the 1-0 lead.
Halloran was involved in the Ephs' second goal as well. Halloran took a shot on net that was turned away by Manhattanville's Taylor Elias, but Amanda Reisman was there to clean up the rebound to tally her first goal of the game.
Williams (5-4) plays Trinity on Friday at Bowdoin.
