Print | Email

The region could get anywhere from 3 to 7 inches of precipitation over the next day or two that could come down as snow or sleet.

A winter storm watch has been called for Monday through Tuesday afternoon throughout the Berkshires, eastern New York and Southern Vermont.

There is the expectation of slippery road conditions overnight Monday and into Tuesday. Monday is Presidents Day and local schools are winter break for the week.

The potential for freezing rain could cause downed lines and trees.

Snowfall is not predicted to be heavy at this point with Pittsfield and points south forecast for 2 to 3 inches and North Berkshire about 4 to 6. Snow will be heavier in Upstate New York and north of Bennington but there is a possibility of up to 7 inches along the Vermont border.
