Clark Art Hosts Virtual Talk on 18th Century French Drawings 11:40AM / Monday, January 23, 2023 | | WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — On Wednesday, Feb. 1, the Clark Art Institute joins with the Association of Historians of Nineteenth-Century Art to discuss the Institute's current exhibition, "Promenades on Paper: Eighteenth-Century French Drawings" from the Bibliothèque nationale de France. Focusing on select drawings from the exhibition, curators Esther Bell, Anne Leonard, and Sarah Grandin offer a varied and lively picture of artistic practices in the years leading up to and just after the French Revolution. Adams Community Bank Donates to Local Nonprofits04:04PM / Sunday, January 22, 2023 | | ADAMS, Mass. — Adams Community Bank (ACB) ended 2022 with a donation of $75,000 to local food pantries, food banks, and fuel assistance programs. ACB's Senior Vice President of Communications and Community Engagement Maureen Baran presented donations to several Berkshire County nonprofits. Adams Community Bank began its December donation efforts by presenting BCAC's Fuel Assistance program with a $50,000 donation. This program is part of the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), a federally funded program to help low-income households with their energy costs. Williams Women's Basketball Tops Middlebury06:01PM / Saturday, January 21, 2023 | | MIDDLEBURY, Vt. -- Arianna Gerig and Maddy Mandyck each had a double-double Saturday to lead the Williams College women's basketball team to a 56-50 win over Middlebury. Williamstown Community Preschool Installs New Signage |
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — The Williamstown Community Preschool began sprucing up its new home by hiring local sign maker Lindsay Neathawk, owner of Neathawk Signs and Design, to create a 3D sign for the business.
Neathawk installed the sign late Monday afternoon that features multicolored hand prints from the children as the leaves of a tree poking out of the top. Underneath the name and address "a place to grow" is written. The children's hand prints were taken at the school and Neathawk then scanned them into her design programs to create the sign.
