The potential cuts in the project were presented to the School Committee last week on the heels of news that the low bid for the new eight-lane track and multi-purpose grass athletic field came back 40 percent over the district's estimate. 1 Injured in Monday's Taconic Trail AccidentBy Stephen Dravis, iBerkshires Staff 03:53PM / Tuesday, September 19, 2023 | | WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — One person was transported from the scene by ambulance Monday after a single-car accident on the Taconic Trail near the New York State line, police said. Timothy Redden of Bennington, Vt., was traveling west on Route 2 when he reported having a coughing fit, according to a police report by Officer Tania Hernandez. "Then he heard himself hit something and, next he knew, he was on his side," Hernandez reported. The accident occurred at 11:35 Monday morning. The discussion was prompted by a move this year to start charging for admission to volleyball games. Mount Greylock's director of athletics and co-curricular activities explained that the school's policy is to charge for admission for indoor events (basketball, volleyball and wrestling) and night games played on John Allen Field (soccer, lacrosse and football).
