 WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — On Saturday, Oct. 28, visit the Clark Art Institute in costume to celebrate all things spooky, silly, and anything in between. From 2–4 pm, visitors are invited to design their own masks in the lower level of the Clark Center. Take advantage of the last chance to see the exhibition "Humane Ecology: Eight Positions" before it closes on Oct. 29. Presented in outdoor and indoor spaces at the Clark, including both the Clark's Conforti Pavilion and the Lunder Center at Stone Hill, the exhibition features eight artists who explore the inseparability of the natural and social. WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — The job classification and compensation study commissioned by the town will help the municipality attract and retain employees for years to come, the consultant said on Monday. The cottage court bylaw, which the board is aiming to bring to town meeting in May, would allow up to 12 free-standing dwelling units per acre in the town's General Residence zoning district, where homes are currently allowed on lots measuring at least 10,000 square feet, or a little less than a quarter of an acre.  WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — The Conservation Commission Thursday gave the green light to Williams College's plan to demolish its Towne Field House. The college was before the panel to request a negative determination of applicability under the Wetlands Protection Act for the demolition project near Christmas Brook. The commissioners found that the college, which plans silt sacks in all storm drains and a silt fence along Latham Street, which runs between the field house and the brook, had adequate erosion measures planned.
