 WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — On Tuesday, Aug. 22 at 1 pm, the Clark Art Institute invites visitors to meet the CATA artists featured in "I Am a Part of Art" and participate in community art-making activities. The event takes place in Hunter Studio, located in the Lunder Center at Stone Hill. The annual exhibition presented by Community Access to the Arts (CATA) and the Clark, "I Am a Part of Art," celebrates the work of artists with disabilities. Spend the afternoon with the artists featured in the exhibit, learning and creating together as they share their approaches to making art. PITTSFIELD, Mass. — 1Berkshire welcomes its 13th class into the Berkshire Youth Leadership Program. This group of 27 rising high school juniors from across the Berkshires was selected through a competitive application process to begin a year-long leadership development program that kicked off in June with a three-day, two-night retreat held at Camp Becket. The 1Berkshire Youth Leadership Program is focused on helping students in the region develop and grow through career opportunity awareness, leadership skill development, and the design and completion of a 9-month-long collective-impact project focused on positively impacting the Berkshires.  WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — The Planning Board on Tuesday discussed developing bylaw amendment proposals to allow "cottage court" development, facilitate mixed-use residential and commercial properties and create a limited path for manufactured homes on residential lots. The manufactured home issue came to the board in the form of a proposal from Chair Peter Beck, who suggested that rather than allowing manufactured housing by right on any residential property the town could allow manufactured homes as accessible dwelling units to existing homes. Bud Wobus, professor emeritus of geology at Williams College, introduces the hike; then the Clark's Head of Public Programs Will Schmenner leads the hike. At its Aug. 1 meeting, the Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee worked through members' concerns about specific language in the draft document, including in a 75-point implementation plan that consumes eight pages in a 42-page document.
