Kane-Smalls Leads Mount Greylock to OT Win in Title Game03:03PM / Monday, October 16, 2023 | |
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Noah Kane-Smalls hit the game-winning shot in overtime Sunday to lead Mount Greylock to a 65-64 win over Hoosac Valley in the Northern Berkshire Sports Academy fall high school basketball league. Kane-Smalls finished with a double-double, scoring 25 points and pulling down 11 rebounds. Desmond Cobb also had a double-double for the Mounties with 24 points and 13 boards. Ward Bianchi scored 11 points, and Nolan Barnes grabbed 15 rebounds in the win. Hoosac Valley was led by Trevor Moynihan with 23 points, including five 3-pointers. WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — On Thursday, Oct. 19, and Friday, Oct. 20, the Research and Academic Program at the Clark Art Institute hosts a Clark Conference, The Fetish A(r)t Work: African Objects in the Making of European Art History 1500–1900. The program begins at 9 am in the Clark's auditorium, located in the Manton Research Center. The program is free and open to the public. McHugh threw for 215 yards and ran for a team-high 69 yards in the win. Williams (2-3) is home on Saturday to face Trinity. WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — The Conservation Commission Thursday gave the green light to Williams College's plan to demolish its Towne Field House. The college was before the panel to request a negative determination of applicability under the Wetlands Protection Act for the demolition project near Christmas Brook. The commissioners found that the college, which plans silt sacks in all storm drains and a silt fence along Latham Street, which runs between the field house and the brook, had adequate erosion measures planned. Williamstown Community Preschool Installs New Signage |
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — The Williamstown Community Preschool began sprucing up its new home by hiring local sign maker Lindsay Neathawk, owner of Neathawk Signs and Design, to create a 3D sign for the business.
Neathawk installed the sign late Monday afternoon that features multicolored hand prints from the children as the leaves of a tree poking out of the top. Underneath the name and address "a place to grow" is written. The children's hand prints were taken at the school and Neathawk then scanned them into her design programs to create the sign.
