 WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — On Thursday, Jan. 30, the Clark Art Institute screens the latest installment in its Hollywood Auteurs film series, "Young Frankenstein" (1974), at 6 pm in the Manton Research Center auditorium.  WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — The Clark Art Institute presents a new series of year-round public installations, Paginations, featuring works drawn from the Clark library's extensive holdings and curated by members of the library staff. The installations are featured in a newly designed space located in the Manton Research Center's reading room, just outside the entrance to the Clark's library and are on view for free during all visiting hours. NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- The North County high school hockey cooperative program is inviting former players to participate in the fourth annual alumni game on Sunday, Feb. 23. The game will be played at 4 p.m. at the Peter W. Foote Vietnam Veterans Memorial Rink. The co-op, currently hosted by McCann Tech, also includes players from Hoosac Valley, Mount Greylock and Drury.  WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — The Community Preservation Committee faces nearly $300,000 in funding requests for fiscal year 2026. Problem is, the town only anticipates having about $200,000 worth of funds available. Seven non-profits have submitted eight applications totaling $293,797 for FY26. A spreadsheet detailing both FY26 revenue and known expenses already earmarked from Community Preservation Act revenues shows the town will have $202,535 in "unrestricted balance available" for the year that begins on July 1. WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — A pedestrian hit by a car on Main Street on Wednesday evening was treated and released from Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, police said Thursday. The student, who lives in a residence hall on the Williams College campus, was hit while crossing Main Street (Route 2) near the intersection with Spring Street at 5:46 p.m., according to a police report. Steven Shuttleworth of Peru, the driver of a black Chevy Malibu, was cited for a crosswalk violation, Police Chief Mike Ziemba said.
