Jewish Federation of the Berkshires' Dignity Drive

Women's Run, Community 5K Returns on Mother's Day

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Berkshire Running Center and MountainOne are sponsoring the 45th running of the Women’s Running Race and Community 5K on Sunday at BCC.   Historically held on Mother’s Day, this event makes the claim of being the longest held all female running event in the country. Williams College Receives STARS Gold Rating for Sustainability

Williams College's Softball Coach Earns 800th Career Win

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Bailey Burger-Moore hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh Friday to give the Williams College softball team a 6-5 win over Hamilton and coach Kris Herman the 800th win of her career.   Burger-Moore went 2-for-4 with a home run, and Ronni Ramos and Mara Kipnis also homered for Williams.   Elyse Chan earned the win in the circle, striking out a pair.   Herman won 339 games in 16 seasons her alma mater, Tufts University, before coming to Williams in 2004.   In addition to her personal milestone, Friday's win clinched a NESCAC playoff berth for Williams.   Williams (21-13, 5-5) hosts Hamilton for a double-header on Saturday

SVMC Celebrates National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on April 30

BENNINGTON, Vt. — Southwestern Vermont Medical Center (SVMC), part of Southwestern Vermont Health Care (SVHC), is proud to participate with local organizations to share National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on April 30.    The observation provides a reminder for community members to look through their medicine cabinets and safely dispose of medications that could cause harm to others.   SVMC hosts a MedSafe collection box, which is available 24 hours every day for the anonymous disposal of unneeded medications. Clark Art Announces Final Free Sunday of the Season
