 WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Mount Greylock Regional High School is currently hosting 36 students from La Cumbre, Argentina, for a two-week cultural exchange program. The program, organized by Mount Greylock Spanish Department, involves a variety of cultural and social events for the visiting students. "It is incredibly impactful on their academic experience," said Shannon Vigeant, Spanish teacher and Spanish Club adviser. "This allows them to experience the world in different ways, to connect to the language in a different way, and bring life to learning." CLARKSBURG, Mass. — A number of egg scrambles were held in the Berkshires on Saturday ahead of Easter. The light spring ran didn't stop hundreds of children from darting across lawns and fields to search for treasure in the form of plastic eggs. Peter A. Cook VFW Post 9144 held its annual event at the town field named in memory of Cook, Clarskburg's only Vietnam War casualty.  WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — The Clark Art Institute will present a broadcast of the Metropolitan Opera’s production of "Figaro" on Saturday, April 26, at 1 p.m. in the Manton Research Center auditorium. The broadcast is part of "The Met: Live in HD" series and will feature the full opera performance, including backstage interviews and commentary. Joana Mallwitz will conduct the ensemble cast, which includes Michael Sumuel, Olga Kulchynska, Joshua Hopkins, Federica Lombardi, and Sun-Ly Pierce. WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — The Clark Art Institute will host activities for children and families during the Massachusetts public school system’s April vacation week. From Tuesday, April 22, through Thursday, April 24, landscape drawing stations will be available throughout the museum, featuring various drawing mediums. Free drawing pads and colored pencils will also be provided for outdoor use. At 2 PM each day, Williamstown Rural Lands will lead nature-related hikes and activities. On the fourth Tuesday of the month from April through October, naturalist and wild edibles enthusiast Arianna Alexsandra Collins of the Hoosic River Watershed Association and Offerings for Community Building guides visitors across the Clark's 140-acre campus in a one-hour talk. Each walkabout begins on the Fernández Terrace by the Clark's Reflecting Pool.
