You Forgot Florida!
 | Great coverage on the destruction and response of emergency personnel and neighborly acts during and after Hurricane Irene. But....did you forget to check with the Florida Volunteer Fire Dept? These men were out from morning until night rescuing a stranded driver from a mud slide, warning residents of impending flooding, patroling roads and working with the highway department. We had many major washouts and much major road destruction. Residents of Hoosac Tunnel were evacuated early Sunday afternoon due to flooding from the Deerfield. Yet none of this made any of the local papers. How about giving these guys some overdue credit. Thanks............ |
