Richard G. Goodell, 62

April 10, 2013

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Richard George Goodell, 62, of Williamstown died Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at North Adams Regional Hospital.

Born in North Adams on June 11, 1950, a son of Francis and Emma Odell Goodell, he attended schools in Williamstown.

Mr. Goodell was employed for many years by Robert Smith Trucking Co. and was lastly by the town of Williamstown in the Parks and Recreation Department.

He was a former member of the Fire Department and was a member of the Sons of American Legion.

He leaves his son, Charles F. Goodell of North Adams; two sisters, Linda Goodell of Pittsfield and Nancy Pontier of Clarksburg; a brother, Francis Goodell Jr. of New Hampshire, and aunts, cousins and six nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL NOTICE — Services for Mr. Goodell will take place Tuesday, April 16, at 11:30 a.m. at Sherman Burbank Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery.

Calling hours will be Tuesday morning from 10:30 until the time of the service at Sherman Burbank Chapel. Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals is in charge of arrangements.
