Evelyn Lena Bishop, 96

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Evelyn Lena Bishop, 96, of 118 Church St., formerly of Lime Street, Adams, died on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013 at Williamstown Commons.
Born in Adams on June 26, 1917, a daughter of Albert and Alma Degan Stoeber, she attended schools in Adams until the age of 14 years.
Mrs. Bishop was employed many years at the former Berkshire Fine Spinning Associates.
After moving to Williamstown in 1989, she was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, where she very active in all church functions. She was a member of the Friendship Club at the Harper Center.
Her husband, Howard Bishop, whom she married on May 4, 1936, at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Adams, died Oct. 18, 1947.
She leaves a daughter, Carole Klemm and her husband, Dr. George Klemm, of Pownal, Vt.; a sister, Eleanor Vigna; two granddaughters, Gina M. Thompson of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Karen A. Baker and her husband, William, of Williamstown; a grandson, Steven Klemm and his wife, Stephanie, of Maine, five great-grandchildren and a niece, Sharon Grande.
She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Cynthia Natale.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Funeral services for Mrs. Bishop will be Thursday, Sept. 19, at 1 p.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church in Williamstown. Burial will follow in the Bellevue Cemetery in Adams. Calling hours will be Thursday morning from 10:30 to noon at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Flowers may be sent.
