Anne Keller, 78

November 26, 2013

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Anne Keller, 78, of 165 Captain's Row, Chelsea, formerly of Williamstown, died on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013.

Born in Canton, Ohio, on June 6, 1935, the only child of Charles R. and Helen Ramsayer Keller, her parents moved to Williamstown shortly after her birth, when her father was appointed professor of American history at Williams College.

She graduated from Oberlin (Ohio) College, where she majored in music, then moved to the Boston area, where she spent her entire adult life. She obtained a master's degree in music theory from the New England Conservatory of Music.

Ms. Keller worked as an assistant to several different physicians at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston, retiring from the hospital in 1997.

Throughout her life, she maintained an avid interest in the arts. For years, she held season tickets to the Boston Symphony and was a longtime visitor, supporter and volunteer at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. For many years, until her health began to fail, she returned to Williamstown during the summer to visit the Clark Art Institute and to attend concerts at Tanglewood and plays at the Williamstown Theatre Festival.

FUNERAL NOTICE Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals is in charge of arrangements. A private burial service will take place in the Williams College Cemetery.
