WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Margaret Mabel "Johnnie" Green, 93, of 26 May St. died Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014, at Sweet Brook Care Centers.
Born in Williamstown on May 2, 1920, a daughter of Harry Heilmann and Hazel Coons Heilmann Leonard, she graduated from the former Williamstown High School.
Mrs. Green was a homemaker and loved to bake, cook, sew, knit and spend time in her garden. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She was a former member of Williamstown Baptist Church and had been a den mother for the Boys Scouts and Girl Scouts.
Her husband, Ralph Green, whom she married April 29, 1941, died Nov. 7, 2001.
She leaves her loving children, a daughter, Rebecca E. Green of Williamstown, and a son, Stephen A. Green of Fayetteville, N.C.; two grandchildren, Stephanie Ann Green and her husband, Jason Bullock, of Honolulu and Lindsey Paige Green of Fayetteville, N.C., and her "grand dogs," James Tiberius Kirk III and Honey.
She had three brothers Ronald, John and William Leonard.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Private graveside services Mrs. Green will take place at a later date at the family plot in Eastlawn Cemetery, Williamstown. Memorial donations are suggested for the charity of the donor's choice through the funeral home.
